Recorded at Rockfield Studio in Monmouth, Wales in August 1980, this new 5 piece band were to produce one of the most iconic albums of the 80s


The front and back cover of the album are photographs taken from the monitor during the filming of the Kings of the Wild Frontier video in early August 1980



Sony Music Entertainment Japan was originally founded in 1968 as a 50/50 joint venture between Sony Corporation and CBS Records to distribute the latter's music releases in Japan, Macao and Hong Kong. The company was named CBS/Sony.
Blackgold Records Corporation in the Philippines was under license by CBS/Sony Inc. ( Tokyo, Japan)


The label also has the catalogue number NJE 37033 (the same as the US release on Epic)
The back o the sleeve also has a CBS catalogue number - CBS 4549.


There are two Philippines versions of this release.
The difference can be seen on the label, this one has tracks 1, 2 & 3 above the centre hole on Side A, whereas the other version only has tracks 1 & 2
